Condition-Based Maintenance for Revenue with IoT Data

By Ken Briodagh
September 17, 2018

Cost-effective IoT solutions often hinge on condition-based maintenance (CBM) and by using real-time machine data, enterprises can switch from scheduled preventative maintenance to condition-based maintenance to save costs. Now, OEMs can offer solutions to these problems.

In an upcoming webinar from Verizon and Losant, Verizon will discuss its scalable CBM solution for OEMs and Losant will discuss how its IoT platform powers Verizon’s solution and gives the company the ability to change requirements on the fly.

The webinar, entitled “OEMs Unlock Revenue-Generating Data with IoT: A Condition-Based Maintenance Story,” will take place Thursday, September 20 at 1p.m. Eastern/10a.m. Pacific.

The speakers will outline what a CBM solution looks like for an OEM. Attendees will take away practical knowledge about how to offer and implement a uniquely branded, service-based solution for the supply chain, which will give listeners the ability to create new revenue streams while controlling your cost of entry.

Register now to hear from Verizon and Losant as they share how condition-based maintenance can come to life.

“The concept of Condition Based Maintenance is not new. Equipment manufacturers and service providers of that equipment have long desired to attain asset information for service and reliability,” said Charlie Key, CEO, Losant. “Market and technical shifts have taken place that make the effort quicker, less labor intensive and less costly. Combine that with today's expectancy of immediate access to data, and you have a market climate ready for Condition based maintenance solutions. The industrial equipment market is becoming more competitive every day, which means enterprises need to develop new value-based offerings to stay ahead in the industry. Condition based maintenance provides a tried and tested method to improve the customer experience and reduce long-term service costs. And now, with advancements in technology, a business can get started and in the market without breaking the bank.”

What attendees will learn:

  • Real benefits and practical application of condition-based maintenance.
  • How to start quickly with one piece of equipment.
  • How to create a unique experience tailored to your client (customers, suppliers).

Who should attend:

  • Business leaders in OEMs, and in manufacturing that need to offer a branded service-based solution.
  • Aftermarket Sales Managers, Directors of Strategic Sales, and Product Managers seeking new revenue streams.
  • Supply Chain Managers looking to use data to enhance customer service with field personnel and suppliers.
